I’ve never owed a serial terminal that did graphics such as this one. I do remember being fascinated with graphical serial terminals, and remember playing with graphics using terminal emulators back in the day.

I had a teacher from High school give me a dumb terminal that someone was throwing out. I was real excited but I could never get it to do anything, I had fun taking it apart.

My favorite line from the above ad: “The UL Listed VISUAL 102 exceeds FCC Class A requirements and U.S. Government standards for X-Ray emissions”.

  3. Donn Says:

I love the “low profile keyboard.” Compared to what, a Grass Valley mixer?

  4. Thomas Says:

I don’t think I used one quite like this, but I remember drawing the unit circle on a terminal by plotting sin x + cos x = 1 and thinking it was about the coolest thing in the world. This was is the early 80s, possibly 1982. Ah, the memories.

  5. Stacy Says:

We use Wyse Zenith Pro thin clients at my work today. They are modern day terminals that have Windows 7 imbedded. We use a more graphics intensive model as well, which is basically what the model above is.

  6. Ronny Svedman Says:

I have a Visual 550 in my basement, and a tektronix 4006-1 on my desk. I do use them for graphics but of course it is thirty years too late.
