Embarrassing Moments in Game Design: Spawn Respawn
October 21st, 2007 by Benj EdwardsIn this excerpt from the first level of Spawn for the SNES, we watch as Spawn’s mere presence compels the limitless forces of evil to repeatedly hurl themselves off the top of a skyscraper.
I left this game on for a few hours recently while I did my laundry. By the time I got back, I was morally responsible for the deaths of thousands of pipe-wielding street thugs. And somehow, I didn’t feel bad about it — there’s always more where that came from.

That is quite embarassing as it can be fixed by only about 5 minutes or coding 😛

Haha funny. This reminds me of a story. My dad doesn’t know english very well. So when he sees anything in english. He tries to decipher it the best he can. Well years ago one night he saw a news ad for a story on a TV show they were doing and he came running into the living room where we were and told us, OMG! The news just said that 21 people jumped to the street. We didn’t believe him, wtf? Eventually we figured it out it was the TV show ’21 Jump Street’. hehe. He thought they were saying 21 people jumped to the street killing themselves lol.

LOL that’s hilarious! I wonder if there would be some sort of stack overflow of an object counter of some kind if you leave it running for a while.

Funny, I used to love that game as a kid. I came so close to beating, then I realized how ridiculous it was and gave up.
