Retro Scan of the Week: “Authentic Sega Gear”
May 29th, 2006 by Benj Edwards
This entertaining scan is from a fold-out catalog poster that came with many Sega Genesis games in the mid-1990s. My favorite items are the “2 Dudes with Atti2udes” t-shirt and the sleeveless Sonic & Knuckles denim jacket. Real classy stuff.
Dude — I’ve not seen this much attitude in years.
If you use this image in a blog post, please support “Retro Scan of the Week” by giving us obvious credit for the original scan and entry. Thanks.

Isn’t a sleeveless jacket called a “vest?” Or wasn’t that edgy enough?

Actually, doesn’t the vest have a distinctly different cut (in more at the arms, shorter at the waist). This is truely a jacket sans arms. Ah, the good old days. But why this jacket in the 90’s? Wasn’t it more of an 80’s style? Bandana’s, big hair, parachute pants, sleeveless shirts, and this jacket? I could have been so cool (for a geek that plays video games).
