Name Those Pixels: And the Crowd Goes Wild
March 30th, 2007 by Benj EdwardsSure, the heroes get all the attention, but what about the loyal fans cheering in the background? This week’s theme and hint is “NES Crowds.” Think of background crowds in games for the Nintendo Entertainment System. That should help you narrow it down a bit. The first block is to the right, the other two are below. As always, post your guesses in the comments section of this entry, and don’t be bashful. Good luck!
The answers to the last challenge are after the break.
Last Challenge’s Answers
Last Time, “The_WOZ” got the first and third GUIs correct, but no one correctly guessed the second. I admit it was a pretty hard one, as you’ll see below. If you liked the GUI feature (as a change of pace from just games), please leave me some feedback so I know that you want more non-game Name Those Pixels challenges.

The one on the left is WWF Wrestlemania Challenge.

The top one is tricky, but let me tell you why. I would say that is Mike Tyson’s Punchout. However it could be Punchout, you know the one that is the exact game as the first except has Mr. Dream as the impossible final fight. The last once is either a football or track and field game, not sure.

The 3rd one is Tecmo Super Bowl

I agree with Nick and Brian. First one looks like Punch Out (Mike Tyson’s or the later one, does it matter?).
The last one looks like a Tecmo Bowl game, I’d be a super-geek (super-jock?) if I knew exactly which one.
