Name Those Pixels: Name That Kong
April 13th, 2007 by Benj EdwardsNow we move from crowds to Kongs. This week’s theme is “Donkey Kong.” Each of these three pixel blocks is from a version of Donkey Kong. Can you guess which system or computer each is from? The first block is to the right, the other two are below. As always, post your guesses in the comments section of this entry, and don’t be bashful.
The answers to the last challenge are after the break.
Last Challenge’s Answers
The last challenge was all about crowds. Rhys was first to mention WWF Wrestlemania Challenge, Nick got Punch-Out!!, and Brian Beck correctly named Tecmo Super Bowl. Great work, guys.

I was truly going to say Donkey Kong 3 for the first. Awesome test though. I hope there is a “Pitfall Harry” one soon…

Will do. Any other requests? Maybe I should do one with more than three blocks for different characters.

Sorry! The last two were just very obvious and the first took about 2 minutes to find. But there are a hell of a lot of Donkey Kong games so knowing a rough era helped a lot.
