“You are the weapon!”
I was a big fan of the original NES Renegade back in the day, but I seem to recall the sequel, Target: Renegade, being a major letdown. Did anyone out there actually like it?

Arkanoid FTW! I preferred the Commodore 64 version, because of its availability, but its still one of my favorite C64 games. Great graphics, no lag, and very challenging

I bought this game at a yard sale a couple of years ago, for only a quarter.
I paid WAY too much.
It was just all-around horrible, and I hope to God that no one else ever has to suffer the travesty to video gaming known as “Target: Renegade.”

The best Taito game is impossible to pick. My favourites in no particular order are:
Arkanoid II (Amiga version preferred)
Bubble Bobble (almost any version will do)
Almost any Bust-a-move game
I also have a weak spot for Hit the Ice: The Video Hockey League, but I can’t honestly say that the game is that good.

Here’s my list in no particular order whatsoever:
Space Invaders, Arkanoid, Twin Cobra, and the DC version of Puzzle Bobble.
maybe there are others that i don’t exactly remember, since Taito has an incredible long list of games.

No love for RASTAN? Come on, people!

I actually liked Target Renegade, I played it a load on the Spectrum. Looking back at it now it was horrendously sexist, but I quite enjoyed it, especially when one of you could grab one of the bad guys from behind whilst the other player kneed him repeatedly in the nuts. That never gets old.

Arkanoid for sure. I played it a lot with my sister in my MSX, a hugely popular system in Brazil in the late 80’s.

Definitely Rastan! The arcade version rocks, but the Commodore 64 version I played a lot as a kid leaves much to be desired.

Can you imagine a guy dressed like that wanting to fight? That getup is ridiculous! The game was alright. I’m with you Benj, the original Renegade was much better. I actually went out late last year and tracked down a copy for the good ole’ NES. Not as much fun as it was back then, but still fun, and it seems a bit harder as well.

Having only played spectrum/c64 version and always thinking Target:Renegade was a great game (nicer gfx on c64 but multiplayer on spectrum), I’m suspecting people who say it’s utter poop only ever played the NES version?

I loved Target Renegade. I bought it for my Amstrad cpc, of all the games I owned on that computer, Target Reneged was played to most
