The balls are moving and the cue ball hasn’t even hit them yet. Spooky.

I liked the pool minigame in GTA San Andreas, but the physics were kind of wonky. Either that or there were magnets in the balls.

Side Pocket for the Sega Genesis is pretty cool. Great music, nice interface, but pretty difficult. I’ve never made in past the third stage.

The working pool table in Duke Nukem 3 is probably my favorite, if only because of the context.

For the record, my favorite billards video or computer game is Pool 1.5 for the Atari 800, which I immortalized in a 2011 Retro Scan. I still play it today sometimes. Heck, it’s probably one of my favorite Atari 800 games, and with so many strong games on that platform, that’s saying a lot.

I’m going to have to go with the Imagic game for the Atari 2600 called
“Trick Shot”
It wasn’t a full pool game, but had various levels with harder and harder single ball pool shots you had to make.
Pretty fun, and a pretty advanced game for the good old 2600.

My favourite pool game was ‘Sharkey’s 3D Pool’ for DOS. A pretty amazing pool game for the time.
Check out the youtube video of this game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXqNu5fYIYw

Wow, I remember Sharkey’s 3D Pool, Daniel. It blew my mind at the time.

Ya,Sharkey’s 3D Pool was pretty impressive when it came out. It’s still a fun game to play. I play it occasionally in DosBox.

Lunar Pool for the NES. It might not have been realistic, but it was fun.

Virtual Pool (for DOS back in my days and on dial-up!)!
